- Streaming Classic
With OBS you can play the dfine.io live stream out to a reference monitor over SDI or HDMI. There are two parts: you create a monitor link in the app, and your client plays it out in OBS.
The playout link is a private address to watch the stream on a reference monitor or decoder, one per slot. It skips the geo and access code checks, so treat it like a stream key. Turn it off to block the link at any time without affecting your web viewers, and back on when you need it. Use Regenerate to replace it.Copy the link and send it to your client, or use the email field to send it straight from the app. It follows this pattern:
Create the monitor link
Open your stream slot and go to the Playout tab. Turn on SDI / monitor playout to create the link.
The SDI playout adds about two to three seconds of delay. For timing-critical checks we recommend keeping the web viewer open alongside it — the browser stream runs at noticeably lower latency. Use the reference monitor for colour and image quality, and the web viewer when exact timing matters.
Play it out in OBS
Paste the monitor link
In the window that opens, paste the monitor link into the input field and confirm with OK.

Turn on the Decklink output
Make sure you have the latest Blackmagic capture drivers installed. Then open the Tools menu in OBS and choose Decklink Output.
