  </Step>
</Steps>

## Mute and camera

Open the conference menu at the top. There you turn **Microphone** and **Camera** on and off. **Settings** switches devices.

Your system provides a blurred background: on a Mac through the video icon in the menu bar with **Portrait**, on Windows in Quick Settings under **Studio Effects**.

## Leave the conference

Choose **Leave conference** in the conference menu and confirm with **Leave**. Camera and microphone turn off, and the stream keeps playing. You can join again at any time.

<Note>
  If you change your name during the conference, you leave and rejoin for a second so the others see the new name. The page asks first (**Rename and rejoin**).
