# Where do I set up a project and its stream slots?

> My Projects lists every project. New project or Quick project creates one, New stream slot adds an ingest endpoint with its own key.

A project holds your streams and the people allowed to watch them.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open My Projects">
    Each row is one project: **Status** shows whether it is live, **Stream time** how long it streamed, **Streams** and **Accesses** count its slots and viewers. Search and filter the list.

  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a project">
    **New project** sets it up step by step. **Quick project** creates a project, a stream slot and a protected viewer access valid for 24 hours in one click.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a stream slot">
    In the project, click **New stream slot**. Each slot is one ingest endpoint with its own stream key.
  </Step>
</Steps>

The slot tabs you need most:

| Tab | What you set there |
| - | - |
| **Ingest** | The RTMPS server and the stream key for your encoder |
| **Playout** | The link for a reference monitor or decoder |
| **Share** | Lets an outside publisher stream into the slot with their own credentials |
| **Accesses** | The viewer access codes for your clients |
| **Sessions** | Who is watching right now. End idle sessions to free places sooner |
| **Support** | The recommended viewer and encoder setup, and how to reach us |

The menu at the end of a project row edits, archives, bookmarks or deletes it.
