# Compatibility

    ## What your encoder needs

    Any encoder works as long as it can do two things:

    * Encode at least H.264 in 4:2:0, using the Main or Constrained Baseline profile
    * Connect over secure RTMPS with SSL. RTMPS is a common streaming standard and works with most encoders.

      The same encoders also feed **Review**, added as a livestreaming source in a live session. Streaming Classic uses RTMPS; Review accepts RTMPS (HD) and WHIP (Premium). See [Where do I find the ingest server URL?](/en/where-do-i-find-the-ingest-server-url).

    Review runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install. For the best experience use the latest **Chrome or Safari**, on desktop or mobile.

    ## File formats

    You can upload almost any video, image or audio file, up to 50 GB each. How a file behaves depends on its format.
